It turned out to correct the situation. I installed the old torrent and the download started.

i had the same problem with μtorrent but i tried vuze and it worked. i had windows 7

Nope. Win 7 Ult ran the update and changed the registry, nothing works Deluge, Qbittorent, utorrent and Vuze

ALL FAIL

I tried following some instructions for TLS1.2 earlier on, but ended up where my browser couldn't connect to anything, so I removed TLS1.2 and decided to come back later. It's later now , so I tried qbit. A few minutes to install and then I clicked on my first torrent - it started to download immediately!!
What a lovely torrent client! I'll switch over all my torrenting to it.

qTorrent2.2.1 is the best. It's a very old version. No advertisements, simple and works like clockwork.

just use the latest qbittorrent, there's no good reason to stick with an ancient utorrent version.

I was able to fix this on my end by trying a different client other then utorrent (v2.2.1 - the last decent version of that).

Problem is now although I can download, this client (qbittorent) will not allow me to UPLOAD anything on private trackers (like this one). Been going crazy trying to fix this but unable to. I believe it is a bug with this version of qbittorent after doing much research and am stuck for now. My ratio is going to totally tank....

EDIT: Hmm. Looks like I have uploading working now. Speed is pretty slow but better than nothing. Still trying to figure out what is going on...

Don't worry about the ratio. Will be Reset.
Try the qBittorrent v4.3.2
