Read my first post, I'm happy to jump off stuff as early as possible given I don't need the ratio.

The point is whining and jumping off a torrent after 4 hours is absurd, aim for a minimum 72 hours. Most people aren't leeching as soon as a game is released, they'll come on the days following and that's where the ratio comes in. Most of my ratio came from seeding NHL playoff games on ADSL2+ upload long term.

This is simply cruel from 720 some of us really uploading stuff. I often leave wizards for others to download for whole day and even then i dont have 1:1 ratio haha its hard for my to get to 0.2 with this games

regarding ratio , I use Utorrent 2.2.1 and the stats shown by Utorrent and on my profile page are way off . Is there a better accurate option for this site than Utorrent 2.2.1 ?

Or is it the site and not Utorrent ?

Do you understand - torrent system work as peer-to-peer. But no as server-to-peer.
In this segment you are useless cuz you downloads only and nothing more.

Some of us don't have that luxury to keep uploading endlessly, and also games are a day to day thing, so the time to upload is reduced to a day or two. After that it's pointless because no one is downloading 3 day old game.
It would've been nice of you to give us a heads up notice before implementing this rule so we could at least try to bump up our ratio, let's say two weeks time and then do it. But you chose this approach and will loose a bunch of users because of that... I guess u don't care about this and that's ok, but it's a damn shame...

Ok. I Understand. I will leave my games to share for as long as I can in my torrent. Pity I did not find about this earlier so that I could share recent games . Maybe it would be a good idea to let us download a couple of recent games so that we can share, justa an idea.

It will prevent a significant number of members from further downloads so increase the difficulty in staying at .2 ratio for anyone left on the site since the members have declined. You should be addressing the issue that you want to correct. Since you announced on Thursday that anyone with a ratio of less than .2 was banned from downloading and with no remedy, what is the point? I just registered on the site on Thursday and even with a ratio of INF 0.00 UP and 0.00 DWN, I could not even download. How am I supposed to ever get to .2 under these circumstances? Downloading those shitty free ratio games will certainly not get me much uploads!!

Why don't you do something reasonable so you don't lose members who can download some games. If you allowed no more than 2 downloads in a 24 hour period for those with a ratio of less than .2, that would help, allow members whose ratio is too low to get in-demand games and raise their ratio and keep members. The member base is very small so every one you lose it makes it worse. Another solution is to ask for donations which would help your costs and allow people then to download regardless of their ratio.

The above are two ways to help your finances and keep members and improve ratios. What you are now doing is just banning a large portion of your membership thereby reducing the numbers who can seed. That makes no sense unless the goal is to reduce the number of members but that will only hurt in the smooth-running of the site. The goal should be to get more people to seed. Everyone benefits when that happens.

You have effectively just blocked your site with no way to reach the ratio. The smart thing to do would be to give a date so people could try and get back to the ratio before that date. But if you are downloading games that are not popular, then there is little chance of reaching it. I have no files in my hd due to space, so no way to ever seed them now.

I really appreciate your hard work but kindly ask to reconsider this. I'm always seeding after download, sometimes for 2-3 weeks or more. But because when I download a game (NFL) it already has 1500-2000 downloads and I'm probably one of the lasts to download, I get a very low ratio. After one week from the game you get close to zero upload in kb/s so building the ratio is close to impossible, as I don't have the time to download instantly the torrent is up. I'm still seeding games from week 18 with less than 0.1 ratio and 0 upload in kb/s

Perhaps you can reconsider changing to something like minimum ratio OR minimum upload time, ensuring people seed no matter they are uploading to others or not.

With most NBA games You can never reach a ratio of 0.1. Old problem. Other sites tried similar requirements. It doesn't work. Yes, I know, it worked at a specific time for a specific user with a specific set of files. But in general it doesn't. I keep seeding the same games since yesterday and no one wants to see those games anymore. No way to reach that ratio of 0.1.

The popular current games of yesterday, with which You might be able to reach the ratio are now restricted. Not smart.

I understand that You need to incentivize seeding, but this is not the way.

Thanks to the encoders/uploaders! You do a great solid to true fans! And also, we must appreciate what the admins of this site are doing for all of us!
