It continues to astound me that professional sound engineers still haven't noticed, after 12 minutes of game play, that the sound and the picture are off by almost a full second. These audio synchronization problems happen less and less these days, but they still happen. Often enough that I learned how to use ffmpeg to create audio or video delays.

It's really easy to fix with VLC player. You just use the K and J keys to move the audio to fit the picture.

not really the point of my post, but thanks. I wasn't looking for solutions, as you can see from my post; I fixed the problem. My gripe is not with how easy it is to fix, but with how professional sound engineers can be so consistently bad at their jobs. Neither of our solutions does anything for the hundreds of thousands of people watching live.
