Because the game was taken from the replay, the ticker bar at the bottom of the screen has the final score pop up every now and then.

To avoid the spoiler at the bottom, you can move the picture down a little. Just look for something like 'pan and scan' in your video player controls/settings. For instance, in potplayer you press 'Ctrl + Num 2' (Button with number 2 and down arrow on it).

thanks for trying to provide a solution. but i usually play on my tv with plex, which doesnt have these controls / abilities.

its pretty ridiculous that tv channels have a ticker at the bottom of games that are on replay in the first place. most everyone wouldn't watch sporting events after they've seen the finals score.
