one "technique" i found helpful in cases like this ..

once you submit the search you cover your eyes using your hand so that everything is hidden, and then you slowly reveal portions of the page to see what each result is talking about without having to see the entire page all at once.

if you see one of the results describing what sounds like a spoiler you just skip that result and move down to the next one .. etc etc.

it's not perfect and sounds like some silly BS, but i've used this tons of times and it actually helps.
