Supercool collection! Apparently you are a PSU fan (?). Maybe you went to school there? (I did). Interesting that you have a bunch of PSU AND Philly Stars games in your collection!

Interesting story - I was at a Stars game in the 80's in Philly at the Vet (would have to figure out which game it was from looking at some old photos or asking a friend) and was down on the field prior to the game and at halftime (connected to a friend's Ultimate Frisbee team who played at half-time). At some point I was asked to do the halftime play-by-play announcing stuff connected to the Frisbee game but declined, I just wanted to relax & have fun (dumb decision, that woulda been cool up being up in the stadium booth for all to hear).

Anyway, point is, prior to the game I was talking & playing frisbee with a lot of the football players from the Stars and the other team, just hanging out, tossing the disc, taking photos, etc. Scott Fitzkee , ex-Penn State WR was one of the Stars players at the time. During the football game we (the Frisbee guys) were seated towards the picnic area next to the field, with seats in the stands at field level. I was in the 1st row when Fitzkee caught a touchdown pass and ran right over to me and tossed me the football. But I had my camera (35mm with a zoom lens) in my right hand and the ball eluded my grasp (tried to grab it with my left arm while holding the camera with my right). B4 I could bend down to pickup the ball some guy came running down from further back in the stands, grabbed it, and took off!!!! I am STILL pissed about that even to this day!! I should have that official USFL ball sitting amongst other sports stuff on a shelf in my house. Dammit. I'm gonna have to figure out what game that was. If you have it I wonder if any of that was captured on TV!

Cheers! :drink:

Grew up a Cincinnati fan. My grandpa was born 40 miles from State College. When Pete Rose went to the Phillies I became a Philly fan too. Naturally, QB Chuck Fusina being a Penn State made me a Stars fan. I can look into the Scott Kitzkee game but going to take time. There isn't a site that has his game by game stats listed. He caught 15 tds over 3 years
